FAQs

General Visa Questions

  • How to Apply?

Go to www.it.ckgs.ae/how-to-apply. We recommend that you read this carefully before processing your Visa Application.
  • What is a Schengen Visa?

Schengen visa is a type of visa given to the applicant, permitting them to travel without restriction within such Schengen areas. Following are the list of Schengen countries.
Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Italy, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland.
  • Where do I apply for a Schengen visa?

While a Schengen visa allows you to travel freely within all Schengen countries, and the visa rules and procedures are the same for all Schengen countries, there are rules about where you should apply. Some countries are particularly strict on this aspect and might refuse you to entry their territory if their rules are breached.

Therefore, if you intend to travel to one Schengen country, that country's consulate must deal with your application.

If you intend to travel to more than one Schengen country, the application must be dealt with by the consulate of the main destination. The main destination is the destination where you are going to spend the most number of nights during your trip. If you are going to spend the same number of nights in two or more Schengen countries, then you apply with the consulate of the country where you will be entering the Schengen territory first.

For Italian Visa, you can apply at Cox and Kings Global Services Italian Visa Application Center if,
    1. Italy is the only country you are planning to visit.
    2. Italy is the main destination, i.e. the country where you are going to spend maximum number of days during your trip to Europe.
    3. You have no main destination (you are going to spend the same amount of time in more than one Schengen country) and Italy is your first port of entry in the Schengen area.

The date of each entry shall be considered as the first day of stay on the territory of the Member States and the date of the relevant exit shall be considered as the last day of stay on the territory of the Member States.
